The Book of the Shadows

I don't always do product reviews, but when I do... yada, yada, yada. Today I'm reviewing a relatively recent technology purchase - the Viewsonic VSD220.

I was on my lunch break when I found out about the downing of Malaysia flight MH-17 over Ukraine last week. I and one of my co-workers had mistakenly thought at first they were reporting news about MH-370, the flight that disappeared several months ago. Hearing that the plane was shot down, my co-worker asked the question, "why do humans kill other humans".

So I got to playing Ace Combat Infinity, and the first thing I wanted to figure out was if the teasers early on were really about making a real-world version of 4, arguably the most famous entry in the franchise, or was it something else.

The media tends to have a lot of unforced errors - stuff they're more than capable of getting right but they can't avoid getting in their own way. You put politics into the mix and they can't seem to avoid going for the easy pot-shots, banding about their faux masks, and the like. Such is the case with the Clinton wealth matter of the last few days.

That would be an interesting little debate - what is the single greatest Gundam of all time. However, the poll I'm referencing here  is specifically about what the best Gundam anime  of all time. I'll tell you why almost no one will agree with this ranking.

So, after some more hard work, and then some fun work, and then a lot more hard work, the time is nearing when I will be able to launch the website I've been promising forever. In the meantime I've got some updates to pass along.

Yesterday was the big kickoff for this year's Electronics Entertainment Expo, the video-game-palooza netter known as E3. And by "big kickoff" I really mean started... just started.

The director behind one of my favorite series of the last decade, Gundam SEED, has stirred up discussion with his comments on the anime industry, specifically stating regulation and censorship has hamstrung the industry. One of the most bandied about terms you'll hear, particularly in politics, is "accountability". As such, I pose a simple pair of questions; what is accountability, and do we need to rethink what we consider accountability to be?

I'll pick up today where I left off yesterday. I've explained a little about where Anzu's development came from, and that plays into who Drusilla is as well.

I'm changing up the way I do my anime reviews just a little bit. That along with other personal issues has delayed my end of the Winter season review by about a week. But, it should make the process of digesting the reviews a bit better. For today, and tomorrow, I'll be doing a little more groundwork for a future story release.
