Intorductions
Welcome to my blog!!
There are literally millions of blogs out there. This one is dedicated to whatever comes to mind at any given time.
My name is DaCosta Rosencraft. No, that's not my real name. It's a pen-name, a pseudonym I use for some of my writings. As such, it would defeat the purpose were I to just give out a bunch of facts about myself, so don't expect too much.
I can tell you that my residence, as D.Rosencraft, is the Shadow Realm. Some of you may or may not recognize the name, but I assure you it is a different place than you're thinking. My real-world residence is somewhere in the GMT-5 area (Eastern Standard Time).
My real-world self is above the age of majority; myself as D.Rosencraft is ageless - interpret that as you will.
So, the question you must have is what is this really all about.
This blog of mine will be dedicated mainly to expression of my views on pertinent topics. These topics will be wide-ranging and will include; politics, societal issues, computers and technology, and particularly anime.
Which gets to the other main vehicle of this blog - The Book of the Shadows.
Several years ago, as a hobby, I began to write a fan-fiction. In case you don't know what that is, basically it is a story written by a fan of another writer's work, which expands on that work, either as a whole or in regards to a particular character or element of the overall story. So, say you have a favorite movie, and you love a character in that movie. If you wrote a story around that character, that would basically be a fan-fiction. When applied to Japanese anime and/or manga, this is often referred to as a doujin or doujishi (I won't get into the specific difference in the terms, you may want to google it).
My fan-fiction is somewhat unique because of its scope. Usually a fan-fic centers on one or two meta-stories (meta-stories referring to the original source material). Mine encompasses many different Japanese anime and manga, and to a lesser extent video games and western media.
Over time I have written a lot of ideas, some of which I have flushed out into chapters. A number of my future posts will be of these individual chapters, as well as general information about the story itself. I will occasionally post drawings too, which will generally be my reinterpretation of characters relevant to the story I've written.
Can't say how often I'll post new stuff to my blog. My initial goal is at least one new post a week, but I can imagine doing so more often, or less often, depending how things are in my Realm. As I stated before, I will also be blogging about other topics from time to time. I'm hoping that I'll get some feedback, maybe even ideas for future posts. I know that my way of thinking differs from many people, but I think that's fine. We all have a different way of looking at the world, so my hope is that, at least on this blog, everyone will be able to read with an open mind, and be respectful in the comment section.
SO, I'll be back to this blog with a new post in a few days. I hope this will be fruitful and pleasant experience for everyone involved. Feel free to suggest changes or ideas, but do keep in mind that for various reasons I may not be able to answer to everyone or everything that is said.
Thanks, and I hope you come back again!!
