Going Live!
Alright, it's here. I've launched Book of the Shadows website, bookoftheshadows.com.
This is the first launch, so there may be a few issues. Bare with me as I troubleshoot those problems as they come up. But don't hesitate to let me know if something doesn't work or doesn't look right.
I tried to put a lot of stuff in there so visitors have something to see. There are a number of pieces, however, that are currently empty.
The first thing you'll probably want to do is head over to the "Feature Show" page and click on over to the "Anime Reviews" section. There you will be able to take a look at the reviews of the anime that ended during the Spring 2014 season just gone by.
Once you're done there, I recommend heading to the Legends or Teasing Future sections under Feature Show. There you can read teaser snippets of the various Book of the Shadows stories, or meta tales that help frame the series as a whole.
Administration has details on the worlds of the various stories. It will be updated as new stories are published through FanFiction.net, and one day when those stories are published on the site itself. In particular you will be able to read brief character bios about various characters to find out who the anime or manga inspirations are. Curious about a character you've read about but don't see a bio? All you need to do is ask (usually).
Art Museum displays a few pictures of the anime and manga characters who inspired those characters in Book of the Shadows, edits I've done to some to portray their specific incarnation within my fan-fic, and original drawings I've made, most of which were shared here and on DeviantArt. Here too there will be updates coming. I didn't want to overload on the artwork just yet, especially since much of what I would have put there would be stuff I've shared already. I want to test the functionality and style of the gallery to be sure that it works well before I jump on it full bore.
Then there's the Need To Knows, which is essentially an F&Q section where I answer certain broad questions about the series; where did it come from, how did that come about, type of questions.
I have a Donate button on the homepage where you can use PayPal to donate money to help run this site. It would certainly be appreciated if you have the ability to make a donation.
