Character Intro - May and Sisi
Today is the penultimate set of character intros. We have today the duo of May and Sisi. They don't have the most upfront role among the Rosencraft, but nevertheless their role is important as a support for everything that the family seeks to accomplish.
Isis "Sisi" Ishion has been tangentially acquainted with the Yami and his cousins longer than almost anyone else.When Yami's father, Yamu, took the position of Pharaoh and began ruling the Sancrien Kingdom, Sis's father was the head of Yamu's guard. Sisi was able to visit the royal palace with her father fairly often, and in so doing Sisi was able to meet Yami, Anzu, and Rini when they were young.
Sisi became impressed with not just Yamu, but with Yami as well. She began to think about becoming a security officer like her father, but at some point deviated to politics instead, thinking instead she would like to be an adviser or ambassador. The state funeral for Yamu would be the last time she saw Yami for a while, security particularly high for the newly appointed Pharaoh. She would be somewhat surprised when his office contacts her a mere few weeks after her graduation from G.W. Clarkson University in Oresa, a neighboring country to Sancrien. It is at this point that Sisi begins working within the Sancrien and Shadow Realm governments.
Kagome Margaret 'May" Jinsei similarly knew Yami and his cousins from the time she was a child. However, unlike Sisi, May knew of her powers from the beginning. That is because May could see things like ghosts and demons for as long as she could remember.
May's family was very wealthy, and were able to parley that into powerful influence once Yamu came to power on Earth. May's father became a politician and in turn one of the district representatives for Sancrien. One day, when May was only four or five, she was with her father en route to a meeting of district and provincial leaders. Their car came under attack by dissidents, and after a hide-speed chase there was an accident. It is at this point that May's powers manifest, protecting here in the terrible crash that ended up claiming the life of May's father.
May and her mother moved in with May's grandfather. May would regularly get visits from Yamu, his wife Teana, and their son Yami. There was even an incident in which she slipped through a portal to the Demon World in a well on her family's property while she was just six years old. that was when she met Sesshomaru, who would end up leading her back home (and thereby beginning his relationship with the Rosencraft family). She would learn about her powers and begin developing them from being alongside Yami at that time.
May and Sisi are rather opposite in personality, despite having similar roles within the family. They predominantly fill the roles of advisers and negotiators. That being said they are also quite powerful in their own right and very skilled in magic. Sisi's magic mainly involves spells, whereas May's is all about energy control. Having known Yami as long as they have, they tend to have an easier time putting their trust in him than perhaps someone like Runa or Lafiel would who have known Yami for a much shorter period. Rini purports a rumor that Sisi once held feelings for Yami, but that is refuted by Sisi.
