It's Saturday! Why am I here?

I was going through some Book of the Shadows information over the long weekend, and I rediscovered a topic I spent some time thinking on back early on in writing the original. Magic is treated very differently in the East and West when it comes to age.

Today I have two new entries in the Vernacular Guide; Council of 46, and Rosencraft.

Rosencraft – 1.) The family line that began with the marriage of Alexander Abh and Anastacia Arenzai. 2.) The association of family, friends and allies connected to the members of the Rosencraft family in an explicit manner. 3.) The group of experimental subjects that survived the hybrid experiment conducted by Genosa I and II.

And here we go with the final piece of the 2011 report on the SoTR. See these final thoughts on the BotS at the close of 2011, and look forward to my thoughts next week on 2012 and 2013. So, picking up where we left off...

Welcome to a special series. I call it "State of the Realm". Over the next couple weeks I will share my SoTR report, a reflection over my actions and accomplishments in working with my Book of the Shadows series.

I want to take a little time to expound on my personal experiences as an amateur writer. Specifically this post will be covering the birth of one of my characters, Drusilla Arenzai. I’ll be posting a scan of a drawing of her as well as what passes for an original picture I have of her…

In my Monday post I explained the details of what makes up the Lucifer Hawk part of the Rosencraft lineage from a macro view. Today's post will focus on the other half of the experiment that created the beings known as the Rosencraft.

Well, it's the final day of the week, and the start of August. Today is the last of the big rush of character intros with Noa and Lafiel. There are more introductions coming in the future, just not imminently. At any rate, I'll first remind that chapters 15 and 16 of Book II will go up at around 1:30 PM EST.

Today is the penultimate set of character intros. We have today the duo of May and Sisi. They don't have the most upfront role among the Rosencraft, but nevertheless their role is important as a support for everything that the family seeks to accomplish.

We're rolling right along with the character introductions. Today we have the siblings Kenshin and Runa Dantes. The second set of direct siblings in the Book of the Shadows, in many respects the story runs along at Runa's pace. I originally said I would cover May and Sisi, today, but I've still got to work out how many spoilers I'll include there. So, without further adieu, Kenshin and Runa...

I got a heads up that I left off a character yesterday when I planned out the intro run this week. Left off Tea when I was copying my notes to the blog. At any rate, it was my intent, and as I will deliver now, for Tea to be introduced alongside Yugi. So, here we go...

It turned out a little oddly that I would introduce Yami now considering who he is within the B.O.T.S. So, this week I plan to do a new character intro every day. To make up for lost time, I'll start with Yami. I'll cover Yugi tomorrow, then May and Sisi on Wednesday, Kenshin and Runa in Thursday, and Noa and Lafiel on Friday. So now, Yami...

What is in a name? Names are easily changed (relatively speaking anyway). They are important enough, but hold little intrinsic substance or value. Their value is entirely what is place on them, but oneself and by others. Spelling, pronunciation, meaning... these are all part of a name, and therefore they must be considered when engaging in the act of assigning a name.

First up is an apology. I had said I would upload two chapters a day this week to FanFiction.net, but I didn't do that yesterday. I was a little busy with real world issues so I didn't get a chance for final proof-readings. I'll try to make it up today with four, which should be good since I'm getting to the more interesting parts now. Today's post is back to my universe. I'll be introducing a couple conceptual points that are of some importance to the overall story for my Book of the Shadows.
