Introduction to First Sun
It's been quite a while since the last time I published anything to FanFiction.net. That will change later this week, with the publication of First Sun Saga.
First Sun Saga is a story I began formally writing four years and three weeks ago, the start of May 2013. Planning and character identification began some time before then, so this story has been in the works for a while now, and has a ways to go yet.
The story overall takes place over two distinct periods - the initial Earth Sphere story, and the World of C story. The Earth Sphere story, at the moment, looks to be between 20-30 chapters long, the World of C story being 40 or so chapters.
The major focus of the Earth Sphere story is a mashup of Code Geass, Universal Century Mobile Suit Gundam, and a bit of Gundam Seed, and Umineko no Naku Koro Ni. The main characters are Euphemia li Britannia and Kallen Kouzuki from Code Geass, and Ange Ushiromiya of Umineko no Naku Koro Ni.
But this story is not separate by a large degree from the primary BotS series, First Moon. That is to say, the Rosencraft family and Nemesis do play a particular role here. Using the Rosencraft as a base, it twists some of the stories I mentioned are being used to fuel this fan-fiction. For example, the Umineko story inclusion will feature a dramatic closing of the age gap between Battler and Ange, and the replacement of the physical identity of Beatrice and at least one member of the Ushiromiya family. This actually reciprocates a change in the identity of one of the Rosencraft family members.
First Sun is a story that I've been somewhat anxious to furnish for a while now. I preliminary expect this story will have the largest pool of characters, possibly only second to Cromwell Universe.
