Coming Attractions

First, I have an addition to make to one of the other pages, and then I'll get into some stuff that will be coming up soon.
The first thing I should mention is that there is another show I am adding to my watch list for this anime season. The show is called M3 the Dark Metal. I had heard just a little about this show before the season began and was interested in catching it. But when the season got underway and neither Funimation or Crunchyroll seemed to pick it up I pretty much forgot all about it. If not for Anime News Network making a point of declaring when new episodes were coming out I might've missed the show completely this season.

The concept of the show is intriguing, and the show has been good so far, which is why I'm even bothering noting that it's being added to my list. I'll save a stronger critique for the end of its run. If you're interested in seeing the anime, ANN has a link to the YouTube videos, which I've found to be a little funky (subs dropping out and whatnot), or you can go straight to Daisuki.net who is the streaming outlet for the series. The fact that they are new and have only one priority stream this season (they delay cast a few other series from this season) is probably why I and many others might not have already been more aware of M3's existence.

Speaking of, I have recently heard about the run for the Sailor Moon anime reboot coming this summer, and let's just say I'm not one of the thrilled ones. Sailor Moon is one of those shows that for me is more nostalgia than admiration. It's not bad or anything (at least three characters from the series are a part of my book series) just that it isn't exactly a show that ranks very high on the "reboot" list for me. Part of the reason may be that it is a show that was targeted to young girls and I'm a guy, but as I said, from a nostalgia standpoint I have been keeping a spot open on my summer watch list for it. It is one of the first anime I ever saw, and I did make an effort back in the day to see every episode, even when the later arcs had their brief run on the afternoon Toonami block on Cartoon Network. But the unusual schedule has me a little concerned. As a reboot of an anime that was based on a manga that has long since ended, it strikes me as odd that there would be a need to broadcast the show every other week. No show I can think of has ever done this. It's not a TV scheduling thing either since apparently the entire series will be released on the web, as in there is no TV broadcast. When shows start off early with odd gimmicks it worries me. On the other hand, it'd be hard to mess this show up since, as I said, there is a long previous anime series and a long since completed manga by which to go by.

In any event I do have a few coming attractions to make note of. First off I have maybe two more art pieces to share in the next couple weeks. I think I might do one tomorrow if I have time to add the finishing touches. The other one is a little more up in the air because it is Sailor Moon related and I'm wondering if I should hold off on it for a little while longer. On the other hand, I do have another Sailor Moon related piece I'd like to get to work on and finish before the next anime season arrives, which would mean I could probably release that one in time for the anime's premiere.

The other bit of news is that I think I'll be starting up the publishing of stories on FanFiction.net again next week. I haven't totally figured out which ones to go with or what the full schedule will be, but I hope to have that sorted out by the end of this weekend.

So, tomorrow is a bit of a surprise since I don't know entirely what I'll be doing, but check back for a nice close to the week.
