Okay, I meant to come back to doing full, real content posts, this week (Tuesday), but there have been a number of issues. When your backup fails, and your backups backup fails, you find yourself in a technology abyss. After weeks and months of trying to patch things up without shelling out the cash I more or less knew I'd need to for it to get back to good. It all came to a head over the Thanksgiving weekend. Basically, if you understand a little about computers, at the point where the BIOS functions/loading stops and the OS takes over, stuff stopped happening. It tried to load the OS and nothing happened. Of course, my Blu-Ray optical drive stopped playing DVDs and CDs months ago and I hoped to stick it out, but you can't run most Windows repairs without the install medium (I got the disc). It all turned out to be a futile effort in terms of rendering straightforward repairs since the system drive (an SSD) went bad, therefore being the cause of many of the problems. The S...
