New Presents on Halloween

Hey folks, it's been a while. I bring word of good fortune on the horizon - new art and new writings.

April Fool's Day

Few days are as both entertaining and potentially infuriating as April the 1st. I'll be looking at the fun part.

Happy Valentine's Day

Ring In 2014!!!

There were a lot of memorable moments from 2013. Lots of news headlines, political stories, social interest stuff. The new generation of console gaming arrived, the advent of the new standard in high definition – 4K resolution – made its first splashes in the market. Personally, this blog of mine went live, and several of my artistic works went live through this site. For many reasons 2013 is a year to remember.   For many reasons 2014 can be even better. That is the promise of the future. I led off the first three chapters of the Book of the Shadows Second Star Saga talking about the way a new year brings so much promise while being as objectively simple as a turn of a calendar.   It's now 2014. It is a year full of hope and promise. There are 365 days left in the year. Forget that YOLO nonsense, but take advantage of each day and live your life well. Don't worry about making a New Year's Resolution, because you should be trying to do a little better in everything you...

Merry Christmas

I hope that everyone has a very blessed, happy, and peaceful Christmas Day. Thank you all for your visits to my page throughout the year (or however much of it my blog has been up). I wanted to do something a little special, so here is a card of sorts. I have some thoughts regarding the "card" below it, so feel free to stop reading here if you're uninterested. Other than that, once more, Merry Christmas!!

Some Year-End Housekeeping

So I have a little housekeeping to do today. It'll be a brief post this last week of posts for the year 2013.

Be Your Own Keeper

I’m back, and today I’ll be divining into the issue of personal responsibility. As you might imagine, I will frame this discussion against the backdrop of the holiday season.

Happy Thanksgiving

I just want to take a moment to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. I hope that you can enjoy some quality time with your loved ones, or at the very least get to have a good talk on the phone. Eat lots of turkey, soaked in gravy, get a slice of pie for desert, and then go to bed. And don't let retail America get you into their game. Stay home on Thanksgiving - one of the very few days of the year where we are supposed to be home, relaxing, and spending time with family. Contrary to what they try to make you believe, most of the deals you're interested in will still be there through until Christmas. So, take the day. Relax. Have a fantastic Thanksgiving.

Eve of Change

Couple quick notes today and I'll be on my way.

4th of July

Just a quick hello today to wish all citizens of the United States, and every American at heart, a very happy Independence Day. No cheesy quotes from the movie, just try to catch a ball game, make sure you get something good grilled, and you watch some fireworks, either live or on TV. Have some fun and take it easy on the nation's 237th birthday. Enjoy the long weekend!!
